The journey of Ghandruk Ghorepani Trekking starts similar to Annapurna Base Camp Trekking or Poon Hill Trekking. Walking starts after a bus drive from Pokhara to Nayapool. The trail along the Modi Khola is amazing as you can observe vegetations and listen to the chirping sounds of birds. After first camp at Tikhedhunga trekkers take steep uphill walking along the ridge towards Ghorepani. The scenery of panoramic mountain vistas like Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Neelgiri, Himchuli and others looks absolutely delightful. The trip from Poon Hill is towards Himalayan barren landscape. The scenery is totally based on Himalayan wilderness. Once the trekkers reach Annapurna Base Camp you can capture blissful moment of Nepal Trekking. Don’t forget to capture momentous tale of mountains and its vistas as seen majestically. Moreover, the trip return features natural hot water springs too near Jhinu. It is believed that the bathing in Jhinu natural water springs helps trekkers to revitalize trekkers’ soul and tired muscles. The time spent in Jhinu is the last day of trekking and you can enjoy trekking moments with trekking crew members with folk songs as well. Bus drive from Nayapool again takes trekkers to Pokhara. If you wish to do extended tour in Pokhara you can indulge in sightseeing around Pokhara as well.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival at Kathmandu (1320m) Arrival day check in hotel, hang around in Kathmandu thamel at the main tourist place. Overnight at 3 star hotel (Thamel Eco Resort or The address Kathmandu Hotel)
  • Day 02Kathmandu (1320m) to Pokhara (914m.) We take early drive/flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.). One can view green hills, beautiful valleys and some mountain views on the way. Pokhara is regarded as tourists’ paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples, etc. One can have pleasure to observe views of Phewa Taal (lake), Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Overnight at 3 star hotel (Hotel City INN or Mount view Pokhara)
  • Day 03Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1577m) We start our trek from Nayapul (1050m.). We would drive up to Nayapul from Pokhara. From Nayapul, we would trek to Tikhedhunga (1577 m.) via Birethanti (1065m.) which takes about four and half hours. Overnight at tea house lodge.
  • Day 04Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani (2855m.) We trek from Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani (2675 m.). Today we could ascend down gently passing through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti, Magar villages. On the way, one could see majestic view of Machhapuchhre (6997m.), Huinchuli (6441m.), and Annapurna South (7219m.). Overnight at Ghorepani at tea house lodge.
  • Day 05Ghorepani to Punhill (3180m.) and then to Tadapani (2675m.) Today we trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3180m.) and then to Tadapani (2675m.). We cover the distance within five and half hours of normal trek. Early morning, we start our trip to Punhill (3180m.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and numerous other snowcapped mountain peaks. Having breakfast at Ghorepani, trek to Tadapani (2650 m.) through the deep forests of rhododendrons, bamboos and oaks. En route, one can observe waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, birds and green valleys. Overnight at Tadapani at tea house lodge.
  • Day 06Tadapani (2675m.) to Ghandruk (1950m.) Trek from Tadapani (2675m.) to Ghandruk (1950m.). Comparatively, today is the easiest trek of all days. One has to trek through the forests of Rhododendron and oak One could hear soothing chirp of birds on the way. This trek is also offers best alternative for birds lovers. Ghandruk is a big Gurung village. There is a handicraft centre and Gurung museum. From this village you could observe good views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m.), Annapurna III (7755m.) and Fishtail. Ghandruk village is listed in World Heritage Site. Overnight at Ghandruk. In the evening, typical Gurung Cultural program will be organized on demand. At tea house lodge.
  • Day 07Ghandruk (1950m.) to nayapul then Pokhara (1990m.) Trek from Ghandruk (1950m.) to Nayapul (1990m.). Now the rest of the trail descends gently down to Dhampus passing through Pothana village (1900m.). Then drive back to Pokhara from nayapul Overnight at 3 star hotel (Hotel City INN or Mount view Pokhara)
  • Day 08Rest day in Pokhara.Self paying adventure like paragliding, ziplining, ultra light etc. Or rest in Pokhara Overnight at 3 star hotel (Hotel City INN or Mount view Pokhara)
  • Day 09Pokhara to Kathmandu Kathmandu Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus. After a normal drive of seven hours, we reach Kathmandu. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, we head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where the Nepal's first Cable Car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. One can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Overnight at 3 star hotel (Thamel Eco Resort or The address Kathmandu Hotel)
  • Day 10Departure After the breakfast rest or shopping etc at thamel tourist place. Then we will drop you at the airport.
