Trekking to Ghorepani and Poon hill is not that complicated. The hiking route is well made and goes through rhododendron forests. You may come across a handful of rocky and steep sections. The trail has long staircase climbing, which may get difficult for some trekkers. If you are fit and healthy, you can do Poon hill trekking without previous trekking experience.

Simple but delicious meals are given during the trek. We eat dal bhat for lunch & dinner as a heavy meal. It's a staple meal loved by Nepalese. You get both veg and non-veg options. Likewise, other dishes like chips, burgers, momo, noodles, etc are also available. Keep your meals as fresh and simple as possible. Try not to consume meat products while trekking because most of them are frozen.
For drinks, varieties of options are available, tea & coffee are common. You also get many alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks. Caffeine and alcohol will dehydrate your body and make you vulnerable to altitude sickness. So, do not consume them while trekking. Similarly, drinking water is provided in all the lodges. You should carry some bars and snacks to munch while trekking.

Internet: The internet facility on the Ghorepani Poon hill trek 5 days is quite good. The lodges have paid wifi service. There can be a disturbance in the network because of the remote area. You can also use a cellular network while trekking.
Luggage: For luggage, we use a duffel bag. It's given by the company, so you do not have to buy it yourself. It is the main luggage during the trek. Porter carries it. Each trekker gets a 10 kgs weight limit. Likewise, you can carry a backpack up to 5 kg on you. If you have any additional stuff left that is unusable during the trek, you can store them for free in the hotel's locker room.
Permits: The Poon hill budget trek needs two permits- Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and TIMS card. The package cost covers the expenses of both permits. Our team will get the permit on your behalf. The ACAP permit costs Nrs 3000 per person, and the TIMS card costs Nrs 1000 per person trekking in a group through a company.

ATM & money exchange: You may need some additional money to use services like charging, wifi, etc on the trail. So, make sure you withdraw enough in Kathmandu or Pokhara. The Ghorepani Poon hill trail has no ATM, and you cannot use cards. Likewise, there are many money exchange centers in Kathmandu and Pokhara, where you can exchange your money in Nepali currency.
Nepal Visa: We do not guarantee of Nepali visa. The trekkers have to get it by themselves. You can obtain an on-arrival visa at all entrances of Nepal. Check your visa status and see whether your country falls under this facility or not. If not, apply for a visa in your home country.
