Everest Base Camp trek 8 days route

Everest Base Camp Trek begins with a short flight to Lukla. From here, you will trek to Phakding village and further move through Sagarmatha National Park to reach Namche Bazar. The trail then takes you to Tengboche and then to Dingboche villages. 

You will then reach Lobuche village, situated at the foot of Mt. Lobuche and head to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep. Next early in the morning, you will hike up to the Kala Patthar and take a thrilling helicopter flight back to Lukla.

An early morning flight will take you to Lukla, from where the trek begins. You will meet other crew members at Lukla airport and begin trekking towards Phakding village. The trail mostly descends through lush forests and the Dudh Koshi river. You walk by remote villages and cross multiple bridges on the way.

    You will continue trekking towards the very famous Namche Bazar. Today will be a tough walking day as you have to ascend via steep forested paths. Leaving Phakding behind, you will soon reach Monjo Village, from where the Sagarmatha National Park begins. Walking through the national park, you will cross several streams and rivers to reach your destination, Namche Bazaar.

      From Namche Bazar, the trail ascends along the rushing glacial river, Dudh Koshi.       The trail descends to Debuche, where you will cross a thrilling suspension bridge over Imja Khola.         Leaving Dingboche, ascend on a glacial path to Dughla. The trail then goes along the lateral moraine of Khumbu glacier, you will pass by memorial stones.           Trekking along the Khumbu Glacier, you will ascend towards Everest Base Camp. On the way, you will pass by Gorakshep, which used to be the first base camp for Mt. Everest. After spending some time at the base camp, you will descend to Gorak Shep for a night's stay. The trail retraces its way back to Gorak Shep.

            Today, you will wake up early in the morning and hike to Kala Patthar Viewpoint.             After enjoying the view, the helicopter will pick you up from Kala Patthar. We fly over Everest base camp and Khumbu Icefall. Soon the flight turns towards Lukla and descends on Lukla airport.
